This is Sarah Massey and her senior session was downtown Jackson, Mississippi. She is a senior at Pisgah High School, where she has attended all of her life. Sarah is full of sass and life. This souther Mississippi girl has a great taste in style and her wardrobe choices were amazing for her girl senior portraits. We started at the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum off of Lakeland drive. Now, we didn't go in. We just wanted to use their bridge and gates that are on the side entrance. Then we mingled on down town close to Mississippi College. I just love how they always keep their gardens and yards top notch. Oh, the steps... Easy to pose girl seniors for their photo ideas. From there we drove closer to the capital and the governor's house. Im sure you have seen or even heard of the red telephone booth that is there. Of course we had to use that as one our photo props! Breath taking! Then just for a casual area we rounded the corner to use just some old rusted fence and concrete. Take a look for yourself and tell me what you think! Did we do a good job on locations?   

Most of my girl seniors, I ask them to bring me four to five outfits. Some bring their whole closet so that I can help them pick what looks nice. In this social media world girls need extra confidence to re-assure that beauty is on the inside not only on the outside. I do my best to encourage them and make them feel pretty. Typically, I do my best to encourage them to be themselves but to think about what their grandmother would want to put on their walls also. Sarah's smile is so gorgeous! Defiantly not the fake stuff here. Being downtown Jackson of course we were noticed and I think Sarah was caught off guard when someone drove by and told her how beautiful she was. That is when she realized to relax and have fun. Girl senior picture outfits always need to be tried on and worn out and about, just to make sure she/you are comfortable. If you are then you will for sure see it in a portrait. 

It couldn't have been a more perfect day! It wasn't to hot or to cold. With an overcast which is always so helpful with out bright Mississippi sun.
