Sadly, I hate to admit it but I think I truly do have a prop addiction... I can't help it!!!
So here is the truth! My clients like different things and I want to give a variety of options. Wraps, props, buckets, baskets, outfits, backdrops and headbands. What's wrong with that? NOTHING, but I honestly think I maybe running out of room for storage. I can always build on!
When we plan your session I try my hardest to have it all planed out so when we get your precious newborn soothed and asleep, I can move fast. Doing my best to keep them sound asleep. Why do I want them asleep, you ask. Mostly so they flash doesn't scare them or they wiggle or even jump. Also, most newborns can not focus their eyes so it just looks better.
I try to pick three prop shots and three wrap shots. What that means is a bucket for face forward or lying back shots, A bed with bum up and also on their back, a bowl with an outfit or a wrap posed two different ways, also a fur rug or a bean bag pose two to three poses naked, with an outfit or wrap. My whole point is giving you a variety of props and poses.
If you have older children (yes, lets include them!) and lets include you and your spouse!
