Milestone session
There's something incredibly special about the first year of a baby's life. They grow and change more in this year than at any other time. That's why the 6-month milestone, often referred to as a "sitter session," is one of my absolute favorites to capture.
Babies grow incredibly fast. The difference in appearance and development from newborn to six months is remarkable. These sessions allow you to capture and remember these moments for years to come. At this age they start to reveal their unique personalities.
For a successful 6-month session, comfort is key. Choose outfits that are comfortable for your baby and avoid over-accessorizing (two outfits are truly enough, because they could be naked in a wrap for one). Bring along favorite toys or blankets to help make them feel secure and at ease. Most importantly, ensure your baby is well-rested, has had a good meal before the session and can sit up well with out being to woobly.
A 6-month milestone session is more than just a photoshoot; it’s a celebration of growth, discovery, and the emerging personality of your little one. These sessions provide a treasure trove of moments that you’ll look back on for years to come. Whether it’s the infectious giggles, with drool, the wide-eyed wonder, or the tender family interactions, capturing these milestones is truly an honor.
Sitter session...
Sitter or six month session whatever you wanna call it basically the same thing... I absolute love watching all of these sweet babies grow. I always request that the baby isn't wobbly. Some are sitting up very well at six months and some need just a little more time so we wait until they are seven months, I care more about their safety. There are several different poses but mostly on their back, tummy time and sitting up either with assistance of a bowl, box, or bed. Typically each session doesn't last longer than an hour with two to three outfit changes. I ask for you to schedule them at their happiest time: either first thing in the morning or right after their nap with a full tummy!
