Do you need senior portrait location options in central Mississippi for your senior casuals?
Where should you take your senior portraits in Central Mississippi?
Well, that all depends. Are you a city slicker or a good ole country bumpkin? What are you looking for? Like what style do you have in mind?
Senior portrait are suppose to tell a story of whom your are or becoming. So if that locations is going back to the farm that raised you or the street of the city you grew up in. You pick! This is your senior year and you are the author of your story, I am just the vessel to capture those moments.
I could take you just about anywhere within an hour range and have tons to pick from. In each senior session I send out a questionnaire that ask questions that will give me a little insight to whom you are or becoming. Some of my seniors like a little of both. My studio is located in a small town called Mendenhall Mississippi, right outside the city limits. I have close to forty acres there but only have props on about five. However, I have tons more locations at my finger tips.
Gracie is a senior at Mendenhall High School. She will be graduating in May of 2022. I am completely blessed to have watched this sweet young lady grow up and be apart of her life. When her mom asked me to take her senior casuals of course I wanted to. In my senior questionnaire I asked her did she have a location in mind? Nope, she didn't have a clue. What style did she like? Then I asked her what she was going to wear, and told her text me pictures. From that moment I knew I needed to help her pick her locations for each outfit. I never want my seniors to limit themselves. I want their personality to shine through, but I also want them to be comfortable. Gracie grew up on a farm but she loves the city lights. So I knew just the locations to take her.
Welp, what do you know its senior portrait day. Gracie brings in this beautiful white dress and a blue jean jacket that screams tall grass to me. So we took a walk to a little location by my house that has that tall yellow, orange, brown grass. Color just pops that white dress. Isn't she beautiful? Here next outfits were just not what I would say for the country life. We packed up and took a little ride to Mt. Olive Mississippi which is just outside of Magee. This little town has the perfect old buildings, rust doors, brick walls, and city side walks with just not a ton of traffic. Gracie and I finished her last outfit with another little nook I like to use in Magee, by the church with the black bar gate.
With each senior I try my hardest not to take them to the same places or locations, where other classmates have chosen, unless they ask for that location. This just happens to be one of my most favorite places tucked away from the fast lane of Highway 49 south.
To me as a photographer location is everything! Location location location... It just depends on what location fits my senior and their personality best. That is why it is important to me to get to know your senior so that I am able to capture just who they are and whom they are going to become.
Do you have a location or an idea in mind? Let me see/hear it... Hey, do you have a location that you would like me to use?
