Ohhh Baby... Take a look at some of my last Maternity Photoshoot Ideas.
Meet Chanel and her sweet little baby bump. Not to much longer and her hands will be wrapped so tightly around her sweet little boy Jasper. My brain never stops, I have a phone full of photoshoot ideas stacked away just waiting on someone to say hey I want to do blah... I'm like hold on I had an idea like that too! Maternity photoshoots aren't any different I have tons and tons of ideas.
Becoming a mother is a remarkable time in your life, full of amazing changes and giddy anticipation. After all, you're growing a brand-new, tiny human who we all can not wait to meet!! What other way is there to make a memory last a lifetime, other then a photoshoot? NONE... You will always look back at them and think of the very first time you felt them kick or have the hiccups. All those sweet little moments. The idea time is to schedule a maternity photoshoot is about 28 to 32 weeks, so that your adorable baby bump will be popping. This way you can check it off the list of things to do, before you get to that uncomfortable stage. Timing is important in both a maternity and newborn sessions so make sure to schedule both, when you are about six months or so, that way you and your photographer will have enough time to get you in at the right time.
For this outdoor maternity session we were lucky enough to have a warm sunny day in Laurel Mississippi, with just a pop up shower. However, three days before it was twenty degrees and snowing, welcome to the great state of Mississippi. I love to go and have different locations to shoot for my clients. Chanel lives close by in Jones county so it was perfect. I brought sever of my maternity dresses and she even had one that she purchased. We found sever locations right in town that were absolutely perfect. As I always say location, location location...
Have you ever been to Laurel Mississippi? This little town has so much to offer. It is absolutely a photographers dream. Urban, City, Country all wrapped into one town.
Now lets talk about my little Maternity dress closet... I have finally started me a little stash of dresses. If I don't have what you are looking for I just might can get my hands on one so don't be afraid to show me your idea or what you have seen or would like to try.
First up is the maroon dress! It has a lacy belly area with a tight fit but lose drop off above her knees and yes, its kinda see through but nothing that nude panties can't hide. We saw these beautify flowering trees that caught my eye and noticed that the gates were locked. But do you think that stopped us form capturing a breath taking portrait??? Not at all. Next we run into what we thought would be a perfect set of these trees but dodging the traffic was a piece of work. This happened to be the busiest street in Laurel. The second maternity dress Chanel chose from my closet was this lace off white long dress with a flow of a train. We down to a ivy covered half brick wall and a full brick wall that was perfect with just a little hint of sun popping through the trees. Oh, and this last outfit was amazing! She had purchase this white silk maternity dress that flowed perfectly in the wind that came along with the pop up shower that caught us off guard, and got us a little wet. However, we were right under the train track so we were able to stay out of most of it. All in all I would say this maternity session turned out amazing!
