Just GLOW with the Flow

In early February, Megan Mcleod celebrated the one-year anniversary of her business, The Face Bar at the Loft. Since opening her doors, Megan has steadily built upon her ideal of helping her clientele achieve healthy skin results while learning to love the skin they are in, and she was even named Rankin County’s Best Esthetician by Hometown Magazine. 

Megan always had a passion for skincare and makeup after struggling with teen acne.  In her early twenties, she was able to work in a spa where she deepened her love for skincare and decided to make her passion her profession, but she put her dreams of esthetician school on hold to raise her family. However, Megan knew it’s never too late to pursue your passion, and 12 years after realizing skincare was her dream, she finished esthetician school and made her dream a reality.

Megan offers a wide variety of facials and skincare products that focus on keeping skin healthy and glowing for teens and adults, including her newest addition, light therapy facials which can help reduce wrinkles, age spots, acne, or pigmentation. 

“My go-to treatments are the Signature Facial or the Teen Acne Facial,” says Megan. “I pack them full of skin-nourishing vitamins and nutrients that help heal and nourish my clients’ skin while helping restore the skin’s natural glow.”

I am always so excited to hype up another woman small business owner. She has been an amazing customer to me at Double H Nutrition in Pelahatchie.  As most woman we hate taking portraits but not this one! She was so excited to shine and smile. Megan is my person. We just click! She is sooooo cheerful and up beat with just a sweet spirt about her. I absoulutely loved spending the morning with her, hearing and learning about her business, pumping her up and promoting this boss babe with her skin care business! I am so excited that she took this major leap of faith and has climbed some mountains to make this one year mark.
